Commissioned painting for Hotel concern Van der Valk Leeuwarden. This is the founder of the hotel: Martinus.
It is a painting larger than lifesize. A big monumental portret. The 3D-effect in the shoulders and name strenghtens the monumentality. A strong character with a friendly appearance. I chose a modern rusty background to compensate the old photo effect.
